Yes amazing signal, but I've never had anything even close to that from West London, average portable radio though, no external antenna, just the ferrite, outside the building in the car is fine though.

Recording made today at home 86 miles west of the site. Quality signal, probably the best on the band.

I drove from my home in North Yorkshire to Newcastle yesterday with 648 coming in well pretty much all of the way in the middle of the day. To be honest I thought I would need to connect up my phone, but such was the consistency of the signal that it was unnecessary. A good signal right up the AI and only suffering interference as I drove through Gateshead towards the city.

I wonder how that compares to the days from the Knock Deep?
