The Humax just shows a black screen - the Panasonic Freeview Play shows a UK Radio Portal screen then "please wait" flashing up over and over until I give up.
I've never seen anything on ch277 via these boxes and my TV just shows "This device does not support channels delivered by the internet!.
At least it lets me know .
Ah well .

Cheers, Andrew!
So, not actually launching on Freeview as such, i.e. not actually broadcast over the airwaves, just having their internet stream added to some strange app, that hardly anyone is probably using, so should be as cheap as chips, like being on RadioPlayer.
I find that reassuring TBH, odd that it was billed as some sort of big news.
Maybe this, which is a portal to a number of stations rather than just one:
https://www.ukrp.tv/
I heard this announced earlier on the north broadcast, I think channel 277 was mentioned.
I was a little surprised, as according to OFCOM only 4.9% of listening is via the TV, and I am guessing that's mainly kids in the bedrooms, rather than on the main TV in a house.
And, I assume it'll only for areas receiving the full range of Freeview channels, and not like here, where even if I had a TV aerial, I would only get the Freeview Lite offering. Personally I have Freesat, most around here seem to have Virgin or Sky/Freesat.
Whilst it's a extra way of listening to the station, which I guess should be welcomed and I don't want to be negative, but I hope this is a fairly cheap option, as I can't help feeling there's better ways of spending money to extend coverage.
Share of radio listening in the home currently -
DAB - 35.2%
AM/FM - 29.0% (although most of that will be FM)
Smart speaker - 20.2%
Other internet - 10.7%
TOTAL INTERNET - 30.9%
TV - 4.9%
