I believe the bottom line, is our Government (& most others as well) Strive to control what "you" see & hear, via TV, Radio & other media.
They know by the way advertising works, & many are very influenced by what they see or hear in broadcasting.

Whilst Labour were in power when the MOA 1967 came in, I believe the Tories are just as paranoid over the Media - look at the way Russia today & the Chinese channels were blocked. It is understandable, look at the way the Russian public are fed with the Horse Manure, over the "Special operation" (Which in reality was an attempted invasion of another country - or War, for want of a better word)

Our Government, would not want that sort of thinking here in the UK
Caroline was & is tolerated, because it keeps it's nose clean, politically - & they have the ultimate control now, of withdrawing it's licence.

Also it provides a pretty good service, at no cost to either the Government, or the BBC. In fact, there is now no real reason for not permitting a power increase - perhaps to 12kw - because as the other commercial UK MW providers, have closed down their MW Transmitters.

Way back around 1964, Ronan & a gang of cohaughts, challenged the whole corrupt system of control by media, of the public (It replaced the whip )

A whole lot of people, including me - saw what was really happening, & supported Caroline over many years, through thick & thin. Not really because of particularly liking it's music (Though if you liked it, that helped) - but the way it fought for freedom from Gov control, & it's own "Existence" The Loving Awareness band's song, says it all-really.
Ronan was never an angel, Caroline would not have existed for so long if he had have been one.
He must have been a very difficult bloke to work with at times I guess.

But, Who else, could have re-birthed Caroline in 1983 on the Ross - ask yourself?
