Very good
Uploaded yesterday by Alex Hoek:
"An interview by Jan Sundermann with Robin Adcroft (Banks) at the Erkrath RadioDay September the 3rd 2005.
This part of the interview mostly deals with Robin’s time at RNI. Robin worked with MEBO almost until the end and was on board the MEBO II as transmission engineer. What happened with the ship at Slikkerveer and on its way to Libya. How was the crossing and the reception of the ship arriving on the North African coast, and what happened with the transmitters after they were taken off the ship. Here are the answers."
The details of what happened when the Mebo's transmitters were switched on when she was in Tripoli's harbour, rather than out at sea, is very amusing. Freewave Archives 21 minutes.
Couple more videos on the Mebo2 and Angela post August 1974 also uploaded last week for die hard anoraks/those who understand Dutch and German.
Very poor quality video, audio of Edwin Bollier summer 1976 on I think negotiations with the Dutch authorities to end the seizure of the two ships. 7 minutes. Freewave Archives
Radio Veronica report on the Mebo 2 leaving Slikkerveer, reporter speaks to the captain. 7 minutes. Recording by Hans Hendricks.
