I always read, but rarely comment here, but this story has riled me for two reasons.

1) The Big brother Corporation censoring someone's legitimate views in such circumstances is outrageous, and the offhand manner in which they dismissed the censorship appalling.
2) This a sweet, somewhat twee, completely inoffensive programme, that I often listened to, sometimes calling out the answers to help them on, and was clearly love by the listeners. It will be replaced by bland national output that actually means bbc local in now completely unnecessary.

So bbc, save even more money and just shut local radio job done. After all you've got to keep the boss in obscene levels of income haven't you? Lineker that is.
