Sources of income, come & go - I did pretty well with a profitable hobby in the 1980s, of repairing Video Recorders - of course that died when DVDs took over in the 1990s. The Early VHS machines, were about £700 to buy - so well worth repairing, which was usually Rubber Belts, rubber wheels, or Video heads + cleaning cigarette tar contamination out, or cats hairs - Cats will always find the warmest place to sleep - Purr - Purr (love those furry head bumps!!)
I laugh at the avoidance of "A nice pussy on one's lap" Kitty, much more PC.
Well,
Aside from residual interest, none of it really matters now. I saw the ' poem ' and Wordsworth he ain't.
In the mid 80's my motor business became insanely profitable due to a massive purchase of stock obtained from a collapsed Company. After each day of selling things, we would go to the pub to celebrate our very good fortune. Then we started to incorporate Caroline staff in to that as my involvment increased. Eventually the bubble burst but we had some bloody good times.
I don't know who is going back 37 years to keep surfacing my lifestle then, but I guess they have nothing to say in the present.
PM.
"It is thanks to the SUPPORTERS, NOT the figurehead (Ronan) of the 60's, 70's or 80's that we have Radio Caroline today. Peter Moore deserves more praise than what he gets. Scottg"
I've reworded it a bit, from the Dark side & Scottg - but the essence is correct, so you have at least one bit of support there. I expect it will soon vanish.
Not sure about the poet on there though - suggesting you consumed a lot of jungle juice, in those days, Peter.....
