Manx Radio is a public service broadcaster for the Isle of Man subsidised by their taxpayers. As already stated it is giving them an additional service with a live breakfast show, which isn't speech heavy as is required by their format, and could develop further.

It also means throughout the day Manx Radio has two stations with a different music format and one with fewer speech requirements.

People outside the Isle of Man, apart from expats, are not their target audience.
