Im pretty sure that the cowboy-hat clad guy was DAVE SIMSTER, an American who had some skin in the Radio Tower / TV Tower project. Bill would not have worn a hat - the closest I saw him in American gear was a Denim jacket he wore in the 70s. Bill was a super guy, one of the Top 5 Anoraks I reckon.
We have lost far too many good guys the last few months,
