Sounds like they will be gone from Medium wave completely within a year or so. 1053 / 1089 is already on much reduced power to what is was originally. I get by far the strongest signal from Brookmans park on 1089 in North Essex but is not nearly as strong as it used to be a few years back and is one of those that is marked for closure. I have never listened to it myself as not a sport fan.
