Interesting to hear the Nick Richards tape, amazing that it's surfaced after all this time. Previous Message
Perhaps Terry, yet another example of Caroline's guardian angel, saving the day again ?
She seemed to have worked overtime over many years, keeping those that support Caroline, safe - even when they take the most crazy of risks.
I see on azanorac, a studio tape has been discovered of Nick Richards, that should have been played on the evening of the 19th March, but probably, got mixed up with other tapes & went to Holland instead:
Here it is:

Yes, the whole thing had turned into a saga, there were various problems we had to overcome including an abortive attempt where we had an engine breakdown and were towed back to Sheerness by a ship. Normally I would have used my boat from Ramsgate, but I'd been caught by the authorities some months earlier and it was thought too risky, so a friend volunteered to do it from Queenborough. It much further away from the Mi Amigo and less likely to attract attention. That was the theory anyway. Previous Message
I did not realise that incident was only the day before. Previous Message
Nigel and I were aboard the Mi Amigo on the last ever tender trip the day before she sank. The weather wasn't good going out and horrendous coming back. We had a lot of trouble, as Nigel has clearly described in his book Ships in Troubled Waters. At one point he fell over the side less than half way home and it was only by sheer luck he was plucked out before he drifted away. A moment I'll never forget.
If that wasn't bad enough little did we realise what would transpire the next day. . . . . .
