Tom was a great guy. He used to phone me on a Sunday night for a report whenever EMR was on. He said he was coming up to Scotland to visit relatives and we met for the first time. We were in Radio Telstar in Edinburgh just prior to their big raid in January 1979. We left for home just an hour before they arrived.

Tom helped me with my short wave stations Radio Mercury and Weekend Music Radio (I’m not Jack by the way but we are close friends!) . Loads of advice over the phone along with several more visits from Tom.

We lost touch when I went to work in Ireland and I think he disappeared from the pirate scene for many years.

We got back in touch around 2014 and vowed to stay in contact and then he was gone.

RIP to one of the nicest guys I ever met.
