because the Tamil from Tamil Nadu where she's from are a PART of the largest "Dravidian" ethnic groups that is found in India and outside of India like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and even Pakistan. LOL

As for Les's hope about the realignment of Black East-Indians and Blacks of the AmericaS, I tend to agree with you coz there are so many factors that might prevent the unification, not to mention the policies in place that might put spokes in the wheels.
Malcolmx tried hard to build the bridge between Black America and West Africa however it generally didn't work on both sides of the Atlantic. I mean even between AAs themselves UNITY was pretty fragile. As for Africans on the continent they are definitely NOT united,.. and I bet most of them including Gnawas, plus the Gullah and Geechee people, have not yet even heard of Dravidians. LOL, they ALL think "Dravidian" means the cricket sport . Ha-ha-ha!!

Well, many of us thought that because of Obama's African heritage he'd help reinforce the ties that bind Black folks, but the opposite happened, especially after he & NATO bombed the shit out of Libya, assassinated Gaddafi, and turned Libya into a slave market.
Kamala, another mixed race politician who's cagey about her blackness, will have no effect on a realignment of the Black east & west hemispheres. Ain't gonna happen!
