Interestingly enough, Arias said Trump's Israeli policies "echoes Reagan's folly in Central America."

Among other things, Arias was publicly against Trump recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Ever since pro-Israel supporters have targeted Oscar Arias, much as they did Archbishop Desmond Tutu after he said Israel practices a form of apartheid against Palestinians.
