Ngugi wa Thiong'o??? I don't think Theone has ever heard of him(photo below). Maybe even Obama whose Father is from Kenya had never heard of him.

Indeed, his books are wicked man, judging from the titles. Like "Decolonizing The Mind" made me think of the fact that its easy to decolonize the landscape but not easy to decolonize the minds of ppl.

I'm reading a bit about his biography, and Ngugi said that African writers should write in their mother tongues, not in the old colonial languages of English, French and Portuguese. He used to write in English, afterwards he mostly wrote in Gikuyu.

I agree with him coz in most of the world writers write in their mother tongue. And that this point is even debated in Africa shows just how screwed up Africa has become by Europe and America.
