This time he's claimed one of Africa's great novelist, poet, essayist etc.. Ngugi wa Thiong'o was born in Kenya and became a famous writer etc.. One of his books was a collection of essays, 'Decolonizing The Mind: The politics of Language in African Litersture', which got good reviews and I suspect was influenced by Frantz Fanon.. Anyway satans concubine has claimed Ngugi wa Thiong'o at 87 yrs old.. REST IN PEACE, NGUGI wa Thiong'o. Amen

Ngugi wa Thiong'o??? I don't think Theone has ever heard of him(photo below). Maybe even Obama whose Father is from Kenya had never heard of him.
Indeed, his books are wicked man, judging from the titles. Like "Decolonizing The Mind" made me think of the fact that its easy to decolonize the landscape but not easy to decolonize the minds of ppl.
I'm reading a bit about his biography, and Ngugi said that African writers should write in their mother tongues, not in the old colonial languages of English, French and Portuguese. He used to write in English, afterwards he mostly wrote in Gikuyu.
I agree with him coz in most of the world writers write in their mother tongue. And that this point is even debated in Africa shows just how screwed up Africa has become by Europe and America.

I remember other members of the kool&gang band but not him specifically, maybe because he looks older. I remember when kool&gang members were all young, thats the band I know.
Oh wow, if I recall a couple of them passed away already, the drummer and the saxophonist, right?
Anyway, may Michael Sumler(photo below) rest in peace forever. I enjoyed the Kool&Gang albums/music as a youth and even long after that period.
