Like the epoch BC and AD era-changing designations, often BCE (Before the Common Era and CE, the Common Era), we must work hard to ensure this suspension of democracy, in the U.S., is utilized as a launching pad to a finally real liberation, in the United States and globally, for us as a people.

I'm framing this moment as the "Interregnum," the transition from the old to the totally new emergence of us "The Royal Family" on the world scene.

I got to get a picture with the Rev. Jesse Jackson yesterday. Like boxer Muhammad Ali, he has been plagued with Parkinson's. His mind is still keen, but at 80-plus he has physically weakened. He did so much to counteract the negative framing, in the news cycles, against us as Black Americans. Now, we must finish the job of ensuring we emerge victorious. In the last sentence of my book Rameses and Thutmose gave each other a high five and said: "We're back, man."

Let's bring this vision into reality.
