You said it well Les. Hate is infectious. Economics is driving a lot of this anger. Remittances, money sent by migrants back to their home countries, are a significant source of income for Mexico. In 2024, Mexico received a record $64.7 billion in remittances, with the majority coming from the United States. Obviously, this money line has been disrupted with Trumps policy.

This reverse rioting is what happens when misleaders, like the Trump administration, don’t consider the blowback from their actions. This was the Mexicans’ 4th of July message. They could make this a regular occurrence, but they’re exercising restraint.
