Yes Les, compared to 2003 all the way to 2016 Black-on-Black violent crimes in Chicago went down significantly despite "poverty" still being a factor in the inner city.

By the way, Les, there are a lot of poor ppl in "Black Chicago" who have never committed a violent crime in their entire lives. I don't know why folks keep associating brutal murders with poverty. Coz if that was really the case then no human beings would be alive today in those 3rd world poor countries. Haiti for example should be by now an "Uninhabited" Island full of skeletons because the ppl had killed off each other due to poverty.
