However "symbolism" Mr G, can be a powerful tool for facilitating change. Symbols, whether visual, verbal, or behavioral, can evoke strong emotions, shape perceptions, and inspire action, ultimately contributing to social, personal, or organizational transformation. I would rather see my son being influenced by a Black mayor than being influenced by the lyrics of a Black gangsta rap. I think Barak despite the fact he destroyed Gaddafi and Libya, he was certainly a big time influence on many young Blacks after his election in 2009. And thats good.
