There seem to be a concerted effort to play down the history of Black Palestinian solidarity at our given moment, and i'm curious as to where its coming from, especially on this Black site. What's going on?
Palestinian solidarity with African anti-colonial struggles was not "performative solidarity", it was about money, weapons, offering educational scholarships, exiles, intelligence etc etc. Facts on the ground!
Israel, during that period, was helping Mandela get captured, providing intelligence on Steve Biko's arrest, and HELPING THE APARTHEID REGIME BUILD NUCLEAR WEAPONS AIMED AT BLACK AFRICANS.
In other words, Pan-Africanists know what time it is and understand how the world works. We are not tools to be played around with, at least the authentic ones!
Sometimes it is so discouraging to have a level of political & historical awareness when too many are not realizing what's happening around them.
And that's why the top Black elected leaders in government JUST VOTED TO HONOR A WHITE SUPREMACIST, CHARLIE KIRK. Talk about Black solidarity!
