Les, these chasms of oppressed groups like Palestinians and Blacks are greatly exaggerated. The naysayers which feed this myth are the victims of the hatred and anger which oppression precipitates. Keeping the oppressed feuding is integral to a functioning capitalist society. Our ruling class are overjoyed with this and do everything possible to nurture and spread this discontent.

LOL, Well, East-Indians in India(photo below) have also supported Black lives matter and George Floyd, does that mean the caste system and colorism in India is "eradicated"?? No, of course not. LOL!!!

Brahmans have never created platforms for their marginalized voices in India. The only country in the entire Arab world where finally and only recently "the native Blacks" can speak up about discrimination is TUNISIA. Never heard of Black Palestinians refusing to marry their daughters to White/Caucasian Palestinians.

Naturally there are good and bad folks everywhere, and what I don't understand in terms of race is that the bad ones that are usually exposed are the ones from Western countries(whites) but the other bad ones around the globe are not mentioned, and my job is to expose those who are hiding comfortably behind their third world/brown social etiquette and are just as bad but are not from Western Countries and may not look fully white. They could be from Palestine as well. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I'm not done yet, hahahah, didn't Gaddafi supported the Black Panther party? Gaddafi supported all the oppressed ppl you can think of,.. He supported New Zealand's Māori people, he had close ties with Slobodan Milosevic's regime in FR Yugoslavia. Gaddafi aligned himself with the Orthodox Serbs against Bosnia. He got involved in several internal African disputes in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gaddafi has proposed a borderless "United States of Africa" to transform the continent into a single nation-state ruled by a single government. Now how come all of a sudden many Pan-Africanists are not supporting Libya?? I'll tell you why.

There seem to be a concerted effort to play down the history of Black Palestinian solidarity at our given moment, and i'm curious as to where its coming from, especially on this Black site. What's going on?
Palestinian solidarity with African anti-colonial struggles was not "performative solidarity", it was about money, weapons, offering educational scholarships, exiles, intelligence etc etc. Facts on the ground!
Israel, during that period, was helping Mandela get captured, providing intelligence on Steve Biko's arrest, and HELPING THE APARTHEID REGIME BUILD NUCLEAR WEAPONS AIMED AT BLACK AFRICANS.

In other words, Pan-Africanists know what time it is and understand how the world works. We are not tools to be played around with, at least the authentic ones!

Sometimes it is so discouraging to have a level of political & historical awareness when too many are not realizing what's happening around them.
And that's why the top Black elected leaders in government JUST VOTED TO HONOR A WHITE SUPREMACIST, CHARLIE KIRK. Talk about Black solidarity!

Yes, Les, it is sometimes more comfortable and happier not to know about certain things, that's why ignorance is a bliss. Indeed a lack of knowledge about problems or unpleasant facts can prevent worry and stress, allowing a person to live a more tranquil and carefree life.

America continues to have a racial hierarchy but that didn't stop them from voting and putting a Black president in the oval office. The strange thing is that Cuba and Algeria and even Libya would help any Black organization who happen to be oppressed in White countries chiefly the United States, but yet ignore and keep marginalizing their own native "Afros". So their aid/support (financial or otherwise) to AAs in this case is nothing but "performative" as Mr Niveen Ghoneim identified in his article. He's right, its done for show or appearance, often insincerely. Thats like a White Southerner in Alabama who supported Jim crow all his life but all of a sudden was seen protesting in the crowd against Apartheid in South Africa. HAHAHA!!

Very sad thing now is that the whole world knows through the media and social media today about this "blatant" White supremacy taking over in America since the election of Trump as we speak, and Trump's administration destroying Black history in America,... and sure many Arab countries NOW are well aware of this obnoxious racial situation in America, but I don't see any of the Palestinian communities living abroad or other Arab or Brown countries or even Black countries around the planet staging a serious manifestation on behalf of Black AMerica against the MAGA administration for its racist policies. Now, concerning our topic on "performative solidarity." I was in Egypt several years ago, and yes, the folks were generally kind, but institutionally, the racism zeitgeist was alive and well. I was outside the Karnak Temple Complex, shooting video footage, while a tour guide pointed out to 15 or so tourists, a wall depiction of an Egyptian pharaoh smiting a Nubian. He went on to underscore how the Egyptians and Nubians were mortal enemies, and made sure to iterate that the Egyptians were different from the Nubians (it was a stone carving, so the tourists were ostensibly none the wiser; of course many of them knew the truth, anyway). He said that well-targeted within my earshot. And of course, the Black Egyptians in Aswan are today called "Nubians" as part of the surreptitious worldwide mitigation campaign against Blacks.

Meanwhile, let's keep it real, GM and Maestro, TheOne has been keen to ensure the fallacious narrative of Blacks only being brought into the Arab lands as slaves rather than being the actual progenitors of Sumer/Mesopotamia is well explicated.

And of course, we've provided instances where Palestinians, like other Arabs, have been a part of the "culture" that mitigates Black life in the region.

Let me be clear, though. Israel should not be engaged in the ethnic cleansing that's going on there. Meanwhile, Palestine and the Arab world-at-large would be in a stronger position, at this point, if they embraced their Black heritage.

I got the image below of the Arabs (corn row braids) in battle with the Assyrians from a high school textbook today. But the framing surrounding the picture makes students assume they're white people.

Before Theone came on this board I was the one criticizing the belief that in some areas of the so-called Middle East, the black presence was due to the Arab slave trade instead of them being native to places like Iraq. So what's this about?

I specifically used to quote the research of Dr Ben, Dr Clarke, Dr Ivan Van Sertima, Prof Molefi Kete Asante, Chancellor Williams, etc., before Theone had a presence on this board. It's all there, just check my history. Unbelievable!

When Israel started bombing areas in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and lately Yemen, I was the one to accuse them of destroying relics of ancient Black civilizations, quoting UNESCO etc.

RIGHT NOW, AS WE SPEAK, there's an effort to protect & save ancient artifacts in Gaza from Israel's constant bombardment. And guess what? These ancient artifacts go back to ancient times when Africans had a presence in the area.

First off, that statement is hardly correct as it relates to modern Palestinian existence. And even if there's some truth to it, how is that different from the "Eurocentric zeitgeist" currently plaguing some African states & leaders? There are still some Black scholars who'd deny any black presence in ancient Egypt. At one time Prof. Henry Louis Gates Jr. was one of them.

Secondly, even if there's such a European zeitgeist among Palestinians, how is that relevant to a people going through a genocide with survivors being driven off their land AS WE SPEAK? What am I missing here?!!!

Let me once again remind folks of Ta-Nehisi Coates' latest book, The Message, in which he details Palestinian suffering and puts it in the Black American experience context.
Bear in mind, Ta-Nehisi's father published & sold at his bookstore most of the Afrocentric books on Egypt, Kemetic history, and ancient African civilizations around the globe. In his biography, Ta-Nehisi Coates describes how he devoured those books so one cannot accuse him of being ignorant of the "Eurocentric zeitgeist".

Only until the Muslim Prophet Muhammed came alone that Blacks have started to be free after 1000 year or so of slavery.

Arabs have internalized Eurocentric notions of "civilization" and modernity, which can influence their understanding of history and scholarship within the Arab world. Arabs are well aware that they are considered "WHITE" in America. Even the term "Middle East," for instance, is considered Eurocentric because it defines the region's location relative to Europe, rather than its actual geographical position. Indeed, the genocide of innocent women and children in Gaza, by Israel, is reprehensible. The Arabs were already in Palestine in 1948 when the Ashkenazi people, of Eastern Europe, were allowed to settle there.

For the current regime to attempt to exterminate them (the Palestinians) is totally criminal.

My discussion of the Arab world's alignment with Europeans in relation to the coverup of the Black world's classical presence in the region does not replace my disgust at the ongoing pogram.

Every consistent poster on this forum has been in alignment with the understanding of the Black classical presence in Mesopotamia/Sumer. His contribution as a Black Moroccan and his detailed explication of the Zanj-type imported slaves framing bereft of the full narrative gave added weight to the insideousness of the ongoing coverup by Europeans and Arabs alike.

Arabs have internalized Eurocentric notions of "civilization" and modernity, which can influence their understanding of history and scholarship within the Arab world. Arabs are well aware that they are considered "WHITE" in America. Even the term "Middle East," for instance, is considered Eurocentric because it defines the region's location relative to Europe, rather than its actual geographical position.
