The so-called rebels(light-skin arabs) hated Gaddafi because of his strong affiliation with 'Black Africa' and his Pan-Africanism--they called him "frizzled hair" etc etc..
At the time of his overthrow Libya was a prosperous & stable country, inspite of the jihadists threats.

At first , that anti-black attacks were not racially motivated but because Gadaffi's base of support was overwhelmingly coming from Black Libyans for obvious reasons. The animosity persists but to a much lesser degree.

Notice from early on she claims the Black Africans have been in Libya "for generations".
