It was while performing in the heart of Caribbean New York, Brooklyn, that he suffered the accident that claimed his life. RIP

Curtis Mayfield influenced most of the Caribbean musicians we now know, from Mighty Sparrow to Bob Marley etc etc.
His lyrics was key!


Who's this guy, the white guy, did you hear how powerful his voice is? Yet I never heard of him! Sad.

Stylistics..that's when our art was more respectable and talent reigned over spectacle & boast.
