I rushed through the wiki portion on the Achaemenid Empire and was not surprised on the Ethiopia, Nubia and Egyptian connection through wars, invasions, trading etc.
It reinforces the point I've made here on numerous occasions of folks always assuming the Black/African presence in places like Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and so on, is the result of some kind of slave trade etc.
Most folks can't process, handle or accept, the idea that ancient African civilizations preceded what currently exist (especially demographically!!) in areas of the Middle East. Herodotus referenced their presence! (Note: kinda interesting that lately some "historians" question the accuracy of herodotus' work. lol)
ANYWAY, yall remember that I posted how UNESCO was blasting Israel for bombing some heritage sites in Lebanon? Now guess what? UNESCO is again EXPRESSING CONCERN over the protection of Iran's cultural heritage/sites. As a matter of fact, a couple sites have already been damaged in Tehran. I swear.
Lol, we've been so brainwashed by the Eurocentric version of ancient history that most Black folks can't connect any of today's cultural & heritage sites in places like Iran & Syria as remants of ancient African civilizations. How sad😔
