However Mehrab Shahrokhi (1944–1993) (photo below, also posing with Pele on the black and white image) is a recognized Afro-Iranian footballer from and born in Khuzestan province in Iran, often highlighted for his pioneering role in Iranian football. He was a notable defender who played in the 1960s and 1970s. Other prominent figures often associated with this history include "The Black Pearl of Iran," Abdolreza Barzegari, who is also Afro-Iranian born in 1958 in Abadan, Iran, is a former Iranian football player who played for the national youth team.

I still don't understand why Ali Khamenei has hidden these 2 great Afro-Iranian players from us. LOL
