The "Voting Rights Act" of 1965 was designed to stop states with a history of discrimination from tampering with the voting rules of their state. If they wanted to change the rules they had to receive the approval of the U.S. Attorney General, or a federal court before tampering with the voting laws.

Well, under the Trump administration, the former Civil War rebel states, the racists, can apparently do as they please. Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, others and now Alabama, are overturning voting rights laws that strip Blacks of innumerable congressional seats. We're heading back to taxation without representation folks --
