**For Folks who Never Knew What the "Voting Rights Act" Covered --

The "Voting Rights Act" of 1965 was designed to stop states with a history of discrimination from tampering with the voting rules of their state. If they wanted to change the rules they had to receive the approval of the U.S. Attorney General, or a federal court before tampering with the voting laws.

Well, under the Trump administration, the former Civil War rebel states, the racists, can apparently do as they please. Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, others and now Alabama, are overturning voting rights laws that strip Blacks of innumerable congressional seats. We're heading back to taxation without representation folks --

Most folks don't understand the stink bomb the right-wing supreme court has dropped on us, especially the AfricanAmerican community!

Someone called it "the gerrymandering arms race", which I think is the correct description of how fast the Republicans are moving to checkmate the black votes in the South. It's almost as if someone on the Supreme Court clued the Republicans that a favorable decision was coming down, so they were ready and are now moving with deliberate speed to reduce Black political representation. Man, our enemies are not playing!

My prediction is that Mississippi will get hit the hardest!

This is a state that, before the Voting Rights Act, only 6% of Black Americans were registered to vote. So the Voting Rights act transformed Mississippi, just like it transformed the South.

Yes, the pendulum has swung right, and hopefully the reality will make many of the non-woke folks awaken. Alabama, of course, has already struck according to the latest news…

Hahahaha, And the demand for slavery reparations frequently meets White resistance, with critics often telling Black Americans to "move on" or citing the historical distance of slavery saying things like it happened "200 years ago". Now what the heck is the Trump administration and its white supporters doing??? Apparently Whites didn't "move on" and didn't forget about it, they are dwelling on the past, doing exactly what they told black ppl to "move away from and forget about it" cos its the past,.... Yup, stripping Black folks from the rights they have died for in the past IS ITSELF THE PAST MR KRIS. So, Kris, stop telling ppl to stop talking about the past and move on when YOU, yourself went right back in the past after voting for your president Trump.
