Is our Secretary of War (Defense) Pete Hegseth a war criminal? Could charges be brought by the International Courts? Also, could charges be made against him breaking Federal laws here? It was he that eviscerated the Pentagon's Civilian Protection Center of Excellence (CPCOE) and its related Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response (CHMR) initiatives that are required by federal law. Some Democrats and Pentagon officials are arguing that the bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Iran that took the lives of 175 girls is the direct result of Hegseth's cuts in money and staff of these departments. It will be interesting to see how far Democrats push this in upcoming months.
