Man, I thought you read a lot, BUT,...anyway, FYI many of the Black panthers who served in Vietnam, majority of them were not Vietnam veterans, they were primarily recruited from local inner-city neighborhoods often described as "brothers on the block" and included students, young people, and civilians who were directly experiencing systemic issues like police brutality and so on. While the party was largely civilian, the Vietnam war heavily influenced its ranks. Many Black Panther chapters actively recruited "returning" Black veterans who had developed combat skills and political disillusionment, such as BPP leader Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt and others. Some of the panthers solidarity with Palestine and Vietnam and even China came later on.
