Almighty has claimed Elaine Mokhtefi(aka Elaine Klein) at 97 yrs old..
She was a legit anti-colonialist & anti-imperialist & anti-racist..
She was both American & Algerian..
She was active during the Algerian revolution which she supported etc..
Though white & Jewish, she supported the Pan-Africanist movement etc..
She was even present at the All-African People's Conference in Accra, Ghana, in 1958..
How did I hear of her? Thru Stokely Carmichael/Kwame Ture. During an interview on a black radio station in NYC, he referenced her name..
A few years back, while in Manhattan, I was at a Revolutionary Book Store and chanced upon her memoir; ALGIERS, Third World Capital: Freedom Fighters, Revolutionaries, Black Panthers." In it she recounts her life and meeting folks like Stokely Carmichael and other Black Panthers, Frantz Fanon, Fidel Castro, etc etc.
In other words, Elaine Mokhtefi/Elaine Klein was a legitimate revolutionary - a true roots revolutionary!
MAY ELAINE MOKHTEFI REST IN A DEEP PEACEFUL REVOLUTIONARY PLACE, WITH LOTS OF BROTHERHOOD & JUSTICE. AMEN
