Based on the IP#s, I saw that those posts were not from that woman. I deleted them based on the gravity of such remarks on an international framwork.
I don't think you guys realize the impact your words have, sometimes. We've got visitors, on here, all the time, from all over the world. People scrutinize what you say--
Now, brother TheOne. I know you posted something on dos Santos a few years ago, but let's keep in mind that we're basing our analyses on very general information, not first hand. There are certainly very nuanced realities, to the real-lived story, that we can't fantom from mass media reports.
Meanwhile, let's keep in mind that the civil war in Angola just ended in the early 2000s. Now, mind you, the Western countries have raped and pillaged colonies around the globe. And now they have relatively stable economies and lifestyles and expect the leaders of newly-birthed sovereigns to just walk lock-step with them as if everything is economically and socially honky dory, between the West and the emerging countries.
President Joâo Lourenço should do the best for the country's immediate evolvement, and think big picture on Angola's future. He could simply ensure that the former President's daughter pays some kind of reparations, including utilizing the funds for the country, if the facts merit. And meanwhile move forward and let her exercise her business acumen. She's had plenty of time to reflect and prepare... .
As I alluded to in the post. A Chapter 13-type resolution can keep things moving, and keep Angola on a forward thrust.
Aligning with allegations by European masters, in such a critical moment, is not practical for the only decades-old country. In fact Angolans should fight just as hard for reparations from the colonizers who raped and pillaged it.
I suspect one could dig-up some negotiated settlements by Westerner's between themselves, in such matters, that could serve as a heuristic in this case.
As far as the light-skin vs dark-skin Black issue, that's a can of worms that Africans should avoid. Should the Koi Koi contrast themselves with the Bantu -- come on people, we have bigger issues than the elementary stuff. Otherwise we're no better than Europeans on the color-coding scale.
