You guys are the best. You know, we’ve been shooting the breeze on this forum since 2005. That’s a long time. People have come and gone, but we still keep it interesting. If we could get everybody back on here we’d have a globally impactful site. I tried to get Westside on here, since I’m back in Chicago, now, but I’ve come to realize people are going to have their different opinions and that’s what makes the world go ‘round. I last lived here continuously in 1997…the demographics have indeed changed. The Southeast Side was solidly Black, except for a thin corner at Lake Shore Drive near the old steel mill section of town where a modest Hispanic neighborhood rests. Today, Hispanics are emerging all over the South Side, which will evoke a more cosmopolitan character to the city, I feel. The West Side, meanwhile, is already another world and I think it’s for the better. Back in the day Magic Don Juan and his cohort dominated the image of that part of town. The cosmo framework I see potentially for the South Side points to an upscale culture of Spanish-cultured and upwardly mobile Blacks that the Midwest and perhaps the nation has never seen. I get you guys’ perspectives on Isabel día Santos, going back to this threads theme, but really, the country’s just a few decades old, and the current administration needs to be pragmatic in advancing its national agenda. I take what the Western framers of the Luanda Leaks espouse with a grain of salt. They’re looking at whatever they can get to discredit Black economic elites, as they always have. Sure, no doubt about it. Isabel dos Santos is not perfect. She’s probably made some major missteps. But Lourenco needs to be “Woke” as they say, to the proclivities of the West. They don’t mean Angola any good, while dos Santos is redeemable. I wasn’t there. I don’t know the details or the dynamics of the Luandan culture, since the war. What I am seeing is an interesting schism between indigenous Blacks and diasporans tantamount to the Liberian fiasco, which is something I think needs to be nipped in the bud. This color-coding in West Africa is truly counterproductive.

Oh lawwd, Les got hoodwinked & Bamboozled once again..
I just noticed Les has a glowing & fawning piece on LLC's Frontpage, dated Sept.4., about Isabel dos Santos, and thats where Mr TheOne got his idea for his post.
YIKES, not a good look for Les on this one. I wonder when that video was made. I need to check that out.
So yes, there was a moment when Isabel was the center of attention and praise, but that was before the magnitude of her thievery & corruption was brought to the world's attention.
