She' Not Mahmoud Khalil, Black woman "activist" detained by ICE amid Trump's mass deportation effort

Not much noise has been made on behalf of Social media activist Melissa Atwell Holder, better known as Melly Mel(photo below). She was granted a bond by Immigration Judge Francis Mwangi after being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on March 21st for a visa overstay. And yes she's not Arab and she's not Latina, so who cares about her story. LOL!! Apparently she's been detained for no reason, ha-ha!!

According to reports, 31-year-old Melissa Atwell Holder a social media activist who's been a vocal critic of the People's Progressive Party/Civic PPP/C) government of GUYANA and the opposition, is currently being held in ICE custody in Louisiana.

She appeared remotely from a Louisiana ICE holding facility, while her attorney, Joyce Booth, participated online. Booth told the court she was unaware of the reason for her client’s detention, noting that Atwell Holder has been married to a U.S. citizen for two years. She stated that her client entered the country on a visa and subsequently applied for a change of status. Atwell Holder currently holds an approved I-130 petition and has a pending I-485 application for adjustment of status.

Judge Mwangi questioned the basis for ICE’s detention, prompting Kieone Cochran, a representative from the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, to cite a visa overstay as the reason. Booth argued that her client had followed proper legal procedures and applied for a status adjustment in September 2023. She emphasized that Atwell Holder has no criminal history and does not pose a flight risk.

Mwangi granted bond in the amount of US$7,500 and set a deadline of April 18, 2025, for Booth to submit copies of the I-130 and I-485 applications.

She's in deep shit...
You don't overstay your visa at times like these..
She might get a pass if things move to New York but..
Yea, She's gonna be deported..

I actually like Melly Mel but she goes over the top too many times for clicks..
Irfaan Ali is very popular in the Caribbean right now so folks don't appreciate her ridiculing him etc...it comes off like she's anti-Indo Guyanese.

The campus anti-war/genicide protesters had their immigration papers in order and legal residents...they were persecuted by the gov't & Zionist forces for their free speech critizing
Israel etc.
And they were not only Palestinians, others were Chinese, Turkish, Indians and Africans etc.
Actually the African guy left the US voluntarily earlier today. His name is Mamadou Taal, a brainiac from Cornel University. Anyway....

I believe if she submit copies of the I-130 and I-485 applications as the Judge underlined, she'll be alright. If I understood correctly her visa overstay was a false accusation(a lie), and even the Judge wanted some explanation about why was she arrested under the pretext of a visa overstay. She didn't overstay her visa, plus she was married to a U.S citizen.

I didn't know that Guyana has an Indo-Guyanese president Irfaan Ali(photo below) and he's Muslim. Looks like she's attacking the wrong type of Hindu, he's definitely not a Brahmin

. However our dear Rodney Walter as a political activist warned the Black Guyanese about Hindus in the country.

Props to Mamadou Taal, and right, I've heard and read some articles where it says lots of immigrants have been detained just for being immigrants, despite having their papers in order,.. heard that some were not even immigrants, they were born in the U.S or have their U.S citizenship yet were detained, lots of them Latinos,....etc!!

They chained themselves to the fences & gates around Columbia University in support of the disappeared protest organizer Mahoud Khalil!
The cops came later in the night and sawed off their chains and took them away.
Very little reporting on the protest in mainstream media but lots of coverage on YouTube & TikTok.

Yes, it is very important to acknowledge the many Jewish folks who are repelled by what Israel is doing in the Middle East.
So Big Props to those Jewish street rebels!
