Tx election: I'm supposed to support Jasmine Crockett but..

Jasmine Crockett is black..
James Talarico is white..

I'm supposed to support Crockett but it's not happening - she's too theatrical for my taste, much like another Texas/Houston politician, Rep. Al Green..

I can settle for anyone of them as a TX Senator over ANY Republican..
But guess what, Jasmine Crockett is too AIPAC for my taste..
I've decided lately that I'm not supporting any Black candidate that's overly pro-Israel - ENOUGH!
So, GO JAMES TALARICO, GO!!

She's been defeated by James Talarico anyway.

Even if she supports Israel or supports Palestine she will have to deal with the fact that she's a "Black" candidate for the most part. LOL!! Thats AMerica dude, and there are still many ppl out there, including Arabs, Jews and Latinos in America who wouldn't vote for her just because she's BLACK. I swear to Almighty!

You without a doubt would vote for her if she's pro-Palestinian (which in my opinion is the right decision), but there are a huge community of Palestinians in "El Salvador" who would instantly vote for Jasmine Crockett because she's pro-Israel and very AIPAC. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Its because of those kind of Palestinians in El Salvador that I came up with the song down below, "FREE YOURSELF OF KRIS AND ABDUL THEY ARE BOTH ILLEGALS AND INTRUDERS". And this got you sooo pissed off. Its because of those Palestinians in El Salvador that I AM DONE with the oppressed. Finito!! Yet I'm sure you don't consider those Palestinians in El salvador to be Zionists, you never called them Zionists. You only called them "bastards" when Maestro brought them to your attention recently.

Sir, those Palestinians in El Salvador are taking over soo quickly and pushing the natives to the side, hmmm, sounds familiar. They are descendants of Palestinian immigrants from Bethlehem who arrived in the late 19th/early 20th centuries to El Salvador. They hold substantial economic influence in retail and banking and have achieved high-level political prominence, including President Nayib Bukele. LOL, these are surely the kind of Palestinians who would call you a freaking "Abeed" Mr G and give hugs and kisses to Netanyahu right in front of your "Abeed" face

Like all ethnic groups scattered throughout the world, the Palestinians have diverse political opinion.

Having some expertise on El Salvador from my 10 years of activism in a group here in town, The Central America Solidarity Coalition, allow me my input.

Theone, there are progressive Palestinians in El Salvador. I have personally interacted with them and helped schedule speaking events for them throughout the Midwest. Many were part of the FMLN (Faribundo Marti Liberation Front.)

I was surprised when one gentleman, when I told him of a restaurant I wanted to take him to while in town served Central American Food, he asked if there were any good Middle Eastern places in Milwaukee. LOL!!!

BTW, He was also a vocal critic of Israel, particularly during the Salvadoran Civil War in the 1980s. He accused Israel of supporting the U.S.-backed Salvadoran military regime and linked the Palestinian struggle to his own in Central America.

Of course there are exceptions in every group, Maestro. There are Israelis who fight on behalf of Palestinians in Israel. I've seen it a number of times in their "Knesset"(Israel's parliament) during the genocide. There are Israelis who fought for the integration of Ethiopian Jews in Israel.

Just like the Americo-Liberians who excluded the native Liberians from power for about 133 years.

Yeah these were the descendants of formerly enslaved Americans in South Carolina who founded Liberia in 1822. Like William Tubman(Former Americo-Liberian president) for example his administration was characterized by authoritarian, top-down control that maintained the political supremacy of the Americo-Liberian elite, despite his so called unification policy. However on the other hand there was some direct armed fighting by Americo-Liberians for the indigenous against their own elite in Liberia.

Now unlike Tubman(the rasshole) former president Arthur Barclay(Also Americo-Liberian) brought interior indigenous populations under the jurisdiction of the Liberian government, which some historians analyze as a move to "incorporate" them into the state structure.

The support of indigenous Liberians rights largely emerged through policies. Indeed there is good and bad everywhere.

Some new black guy in Houston, Christian Menefee, has pushed Cong. Al Green to a run off..
I didn't see this coming..
Apparently, like me, folks in his district have gotten tired of his political theatrics and gave him a wake up call..
Got to check on Menefee's biography and who's financing his campaign..

No surprise that Jasmine Crockett lost to James Talarico..
Even though Crockett presents as progressive, my instinct says he's more of a serious progressive than Jasmine..

But from what I'm reading his campaign is financed by a high volume of individual, small-dollar donations, he is also getting a significant support from political action committees. At least he's not financed by AIPAC, ooopss, I mean 2pac. HA!!

Exceptions, theone? It's more than just an "exception. Palestinians played a major role in organizing and shaping the political and armed wing of the FMLN. And if you really want to learn more of progressive Palestinians throughout the world, check out the history of the Chilean Palestinians. If I am not mistaken, there are close to 750, 000 Palestinians in Chile, MANY of whom are progressive.

Same with Argentina, Maestro, the Palestinian community in Argentina although less numerous has held massive, historic demonstrations in Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina, protesting against the conflict in Gaza since oct 7th despite government "alignment" with Israel. Many of them are also progressive in Argentina. These rallies feature Palestinian flags, placards, and solidarity with Gaza, showcasing a strong, visible community presence there.

I think most ppl in any group fight the good fight only a "minority" within any group are a wicked bunch of uncle toms bastards. And I enjoy highlighting/exposing those ones, the wicked ones. GM enjoys hiding them, and act like they don't exist "especially" if they are Arabs

. But if they are Black he'll be very, very quick to post about them in this board and call them "sellouts". LOL

If you would allow me to give you some constructive criticism, theone, at times, in your pointing out the exceptions that take the side of the oppressor, you not always make it clear that they are exceptions. In fact, there are times that it sounds like a criticism of the entire group. It gets frustrating, especially if at that moment, the particular group on which you focus is facing a calamity. Your timing and tone of the post that points out these exceptions can be easily interpreted as extremely disrespectful and lacking empathy.

Really?? I don't know if you remember but when I criticize Latinos, Arabs or any other group I usually use the word "some" meaning "an unspecified amount or number". Do you recall that in my critics? Obviously when the word "some" is used it means not the entire group. I've also said "some" Arab leaders are this and that, etc etc...

As a matter of fact only recently I said in one of my posts that "some" Latinos are F.up in their heads for having to vote for Trump. Maybe I don't always write the word "some" but after all these years of reading my posts you should definitely know by now that I don't mean an entire group.
