Like many who can be naive on occasion, I started out gung-ho for Ukraine, largely because of Russia’s aggression. I still feel that way about that aggression. But now I have questions, not about the innocence of the Ukrainian people, but about their government, use of funds, possible corruption, dissent within, etc.

And because of what they’ve been through, I think Zelensky cannot accept or understand the US’s not being totally on the Ukrainian side when it comes to negotiations. He just doesn’t and isn’t willing to get it; therefore, imo, the desire to continue to fight believing they must win.
