...to believe so is to believe that the "government" and "social security" are separate and independent entities and to further believe that "government" has the money to pay back money borrowed from social security.

Our "government" is bankrupt - in debt far beyond it's ability to repay. The only way they can pay "social security" is to borrow the money and go further into debt. The only security for social security is the US government's ability to continue borrowing money they cannot repay and creating money from nothing.
