Yes, macular degeneration is something else....but he is a Trojan about it...and he is "legally" blind and loved driving and was a super safe good driver...that was the hardest on him...he still tells me how to drive, though...LOL...You always will have some vision with it though and one wouldln't know he is legally blind in most instances, unless you ask him to read something...and yet he does read on his cell phone all of the time, as I enlarged and made words in bold print...he says he gets the first 2 letters and last two letters of a word at times...(as his center vision is gone..but vision on the the edges of his visual area he can still see...though at times it is blurry.... It truly hasn't stopped him from doing a lot....Amazingly!! It is a hereditary disease...as his mother had it, and his brother and sister also have it........
And yes, the family is fun and we all seem to respect each other and let everyone just be themselves....LOL...
