(a map is available showing hundreds of them), So Cal community police chiefs are sending messages advising citizens what California laws demand of them, their commitment to obeying the law, and a powerful statement that (nevertheless, imo) no violence, damage to property, etc. will be tolerated. Local businesses, government facilities, are closing down when it’s appropriate, and taking other wise precautions in light of the potential for violence. The amount of wasted time and money is incalculable, not to mention disruption of beneficial activity.
