Yes, I believe God can reach people apart from fanciful schools, but that is not the same (to me) as the idea that there are many paths, or more than one path to God. I believe that the Bible, interpreted by the Bible, is the only way the truth can be known.
Even so,men being imperfect, there can be disagreements on the minors, but not the majors. The role played by the Holy Spirit in the inspiration of the writers must be present in the readers also. That can only be so if they are Christian, according to Scripture.
Therein the rub, imo.
