Your father was a very industrious person!! I, having grown up in the "city" (40,000 or so) ...was totally fascinated with small town life in a farming area of SE Colorado...where we ran a grocery/hardware store....Until Aurora and Colorado Springs bought all of the farmer's water....and they moved on, so we had to move on too....
I was amazed at the maturity level of an 18 year old boy that grew up on the farm working on the farm with responsibilities, compared to the city kids in Southern California...for one.
