I started smoking when I was 15 years old. Looking back, I’d say it was the dumbest thing I ever did. I quit when I was forty four. I never smoked in our house because my wife never smoked. It is a very addictive habit but I was able to quit immediately. It took about two weeks to stop feeling the urge to light up and about three months to feel full normal lung function . My wife says I was a polite smoker. I never smoked around people that didn’t smoke. I never smoked in restaurants or on planes or in cars.

In college, I had a few professors that smoked during lectures. LOL
