...have huge amounts of government program fraud. I believe they do little about it because it is just federal money coming in and they look at it as a boon to their local economies. It is the same mindset that allows people to steal from these programs and from insurance without guilt. "It's just government money" or "insurance company money."

I was in a jury pool once where the lawyer suing repeated several times that a settlement would be paid by the insurance company and would not hurt the person being sued. That mindset is why insurance is so high and a big reason our federal government is so far in debt. It is really easy spending somebody else's money.
