We received a few cards (sadly, not that many now) from friends and relatives, and in one of them my cousin asked if we had received our card from Buckingham Palace.
I knew you got a card when you reached 100 years old, but this one was anew one on me.
I looked it up, and sure enough, we could get a card from the King and Queen on application online.
It was so simple, fill in the form and send a copy of your marriage certificate and that's it.
Within two minutes, I received a reply saying that my application was being processed, two minutes later another message arrive saying it and been accepted and the card would arrive shortly.
The card was posted through our letterbox at one o'clock today, 26 hours after me pushing the SEND button on my computer.
How does that work?
