Re: new growing year
Brian and Respondents, thank you for allowing me a brief peek into your garden activities. Since moving to NS , aprox 4 acres on an inlet from the Bay Of Fundy, the local inhabitants won't allow me to garden as you have described,as fast as I cultivated they dug it up or munched the tops off.The house and property was a neglected mess, with a lot of elbow grease it pretty much now looks like an estate. Pruned the fruit tree's,planted 14 maple saplings along the driveway, frustrated attempt to colour the place with flowers, goble goble, the deer used them for salad. So we, the critters and I, have reached a mutual agreement to live in harmony, unfortunately that means buying my vegatibles, on the plus sidethe the fox that made its home under my raparound deck rewarded me by sharing her three cubs with me, we now share the deck together, the abundance of deer have no fear of my outside activities, the night Invadours nose around to see if I've planted any thing new. Nature provides a spectacular sun rise and sun set,not a sound of disruptive human noises just the wind and tide. The winter storms can be hazardous if you don't prepare for them BUT as my wise Old Granny would tell me COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS they far outnumber the curve in life's highway.
