Daffodils Dont Dance
Daffodils don't Dance,it's a poet's conceit
They have no toes, and are lacking feet
They bend and flutter sometimes,I'll grant
But can't perspire,and never pant
Daffodils can't dance,I wish that they could
Be free to take partners, dance through the wood
In couples or triples, quartets or more
Twirling and leaping ,upon the green floor
Every year they arise, fun of grace and with glee
Hoping that this year at last they'll break free
Too many of us, will share the same passion
Earthbound forever in frustrated fashion
