I find, all the local and family history interesting. Truthfully I was never interested when I was young. There are so many questions I now regret never asking my Mum and older sisters. I googled earth where my mother came from in Ireland. Her address was 2 New Road Baldoyle, then a village outside a Dublin. As she told me New Road was opposite Baldoyle race course, it closed in 1972. New Road is no longer there, but lovely modern houses are opposite the race course. Her memories of childhood were lovely and seeing the place on Google earth where she lived it’s still nice well over One hundred years later. Another regret, never visiting Ireland.
