You're right about privatisation, 19% increase on our water bills courtesy of Northumbrian water, and that's not the highest around the country, they've also pumped 1 million tons of raw sewage into the sea just a couple of miles south of South Shields. OFWAT historically have a board who either walk into jobs in the industry or come from it, its self serving , almost incestuous in its working and certainly not fit for purpose, water needs renationalised and the sooner the better.
