Hello Norman,

Thank you so much for your email about Donald,

Very sadly, Donald died on the night of 25th May.

Although he had been unwell for some time, he bore his illness with great fortitude, never complaining and always optomistic, still driving to see his friends until shortly before he died. Even though expected, it was a shock when it happened; he'd seemed indestructable until then. He was a great sentamentalist at heart and it was his greatest wish to return home but sadly, it wasn't to be..

I get a measure of comfort knowing that the gift of your book brought about so much pleasure and friendship to him not only when he needed it most, but for some considerable time before that, and i'd like to thank you very much for that.

Would you be kind enough to pass on our thanks to the Forum regulars who were concerned about him. We very much appreciate their concerns.

Thank you on behalf of all his family for the pleasure you brought into his life.
