A block of 1960’s flats four stories high has been sold by the owners Sovereign Housing. The Tennants have been offered £8,000 to leave. The council say they will help with rehousing but it will not be in another town. The building is going to be updated and flats will be rented . The rumour is, the Management of these flats will be the company called Serco. The flats are on a Main road and the entrance is at the back so I don’t know what the entrance is like. I wonder if when Durham Court is emptied, they might sell to a private landlord who will then do a deal for immigrants to move in when renovated.
