Is this true for Hebburn

I heard a whisper that the Large building next to St Aloysious Church that started life as 'The County Hotel' is being readied for illegal Invaders that this stupid Government call migrants.
The ground floor is Mambo's Italian restaurant and I dont think they will like this if it is true.
Anyone know a Councillor that can confirm or deny this ??????

I have heard the same. I was told that Mambo’s is going to move to Dougie’s Tavern and The County Hotel is going to turned into an HMO. Also rumoured that The Kelly is going to be a HMO.
I hope it isn’t true.

I wonder if some bright spark from the council has recommended the kelly and the County, and got five gold stars for doing so, Nothing would surprise me about this rif raf council.

Plans were submitted in 2024 to turn the Kelly into a restaurant downstairs and a HMO upstairs (see link below)

I haven't been able to turn anything up online about the County / Mambo's

There was talk from the government not so long ago about using tower blocks and this has made me think about Durham Court - - it wouldn't surprise me but it would annoy me

I know we shouldn’t speculate but the Government has form, in relation to the elderly, quite clearly they don’t like us and see us as a nuisance, they forget they will also be elderly in the not too distant future, so turfing elderly people from their home, assuming this is true, to provide nice accommodation for the invaders wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

If any of what is suggested were to happen I don’t think the good folks of Hebburn would let that rest, but if demos are what is required please don’t let it turn to violence as then you have played right into Starmer’s hands, peacefull demos in Epping seemed to have paid off, for now.

These so called migrants have all broke our laws coming here without passports. They are INVADERS and have been heard saying 'We are going to take over this country' . That's because they think we are soft so they dont respect us.
They were all safe in France and are here for an easy life where you get benefits and somewhere to live. None of them want to be BRITISH, and want to make this Christian country into one they ran away from. They are mostly young men who have no skills so what Employer would even think about employing them?
This means they could be on benefits all their lives but we cant afford that so they all need deported.Its going to be very difficult because they will fight back.
What a mess this & the last Government have made of this. France got rid of their problem by turning a blind eye by letting (assisting) them to carry massive rubber dinghies to the channel beaches.
Would this Government put our Homeless in Hotels?
The answer is definitely NO

The Government and Local Authorities seem to forget or just ignore the fact that these are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and should not even be in the country never mind being housed and given numerous benefits.
I hear that they are also in Hebburn Hall but not certain, if so our Council have certainly kept that quiet, as for rehousing them in Durham Court that would be a total disgrace if true !

Reading newspaper articles and listening to news reports it would seem that there are demonstrations going on in 26 towns today with more planned, this is just the tip of the iceberg people are fed up with everything, we are bring taxed on everything to support an ever growing benefits bill - it’s about time our needs were respected and not migrants and, I have to say lots of people in benefits, enough is enough now.

A block of 1960’s flats four stories high has been sold by the owners Sovereign Housing. The Tennants have been offered £8,000 to leave. The council say they will help with rehousing but it will not be in another town. The building is going to be updated and flats will be rented . The rumour is, the Management of these flats will be the company called Serco. The flats are on a Main road and the entrance is at the back so I don’t know what the entrance is like. I wonder if when Durham Court is emptied, they might sell to a private landlord who will then do a deal for immigrants to move in when renovated.

If SERCO are involved, then its 100% guaranteed they are going to house INVADERS.
I cant believe how TREACHEROUS this Labour Government is. Starmer should be moved TODAY .

Serco are old hands at this been getting government contract since about 2012. The other on to watch for is Mears, their social housing in the London area was condemned by the housing ombudsman for lack of maintenance and repair response, they tend to go third party via private landlords in the North East.

If, as being said Serco are buying up this block of flats, also other blocks of flats, to my mind means that as tax payers money is being used, surely that means that the tax payers, i.e us, have shares in the buildings being bought, that being the case surely we should have shares in any profits being made??

Liz, it’s a private buyer or company, Serco don’t buy accommodation their money contracts are made by finding private properties for the government and managing them for the govern

At the end of the day Sheila the money will come from the tax payer to pay for the properties.

The other thing is buying long leases on properties, paying well over the going rate, offering loads of incentives to landlords, pricing local people out of the market, all wrong.

Ive stoppeed dealing with our Councillors (just now), since they wouldnt back having a selection of framed photos on the walls in Hebburn Hub. They thought it was a good idea but were over ruled by their Leader a Whitburn Councillor.
So can someone maybe ask one of them and post on here please

A Hebburn lady emailed to say she has asked a Councillor that question recently & so far no reply.
I think it might be true and their Leader could have ordered it to be kept quiet

I have sent e mails to 3 Hebburn Councillors on Monday about the County, and hey presto as I suspected NO REPLIES. If I lived in Hebburn now, no way would I vote. Put them all out of a job. No backbones any of them..
